As we head into the new year, we are welcoming the Solidarity Organizing Initiative staff to The Action Lab staff team to take this work to the next level.

In the heart of Bushwick, community members, organizers, artists, and elected officials gathered to unveil a towering, multi-story pro-immigrant mural.

On December 10th, we held a joyful Holiday Benefit & Mixer at El Santo in Brooklyn, which introduced the Evergreen Initiative, launching at The Action Lab in early 2026!

The Action Lab recently participated in COP30, the historic "COP of the Forests" held in Belém, Brazil from November 10-21, 2025.

On November 21st, as part of the Fall of Freedom, The Action Lab teamed up with Hands Off NYC to organize a concert in defiance of authoritarianism and unlawful federal attacks on New Yorkers!

To celebrate the one year anniversary of Sunnyside Salsa events, on November 22, we hosted an evening of mambo y gozadera at Alewife Brewing

On Thursday, November 20, the Empire State Campaign for Child Care, a partner of The Action Lab, held a press conference and rally on the steps of City Hall to release key recommendations for making Universal Child Care a reality in New York State.

In partnership with indigenous leaders and organizers, and allies from the labor movement, The Action Lab traveled to the Cop 30 in Belém, Brazil.

This October we worked with our partners at the Law and Political Economy Project NYC to organize the first session of a new series about what it means to make NYC affordable.
