Community members dancing salsa and gathering for SALSACTIVISM, a cultural organizing event featuring music, speakers, and community building.

In collaboration with our anchor partner Cultura Pa’lante, in February, we hosted the first SALSACTIVISM of 2026 at Sanger Hall in Sunnyside, Queens. It was a lively evening of community building, poetry, Salsa, and great energy. We’re carrying that energy into March with another event coming up!

Join us on March 21 at Fresco’s Grand Cantina in Astoria for the next iteration of SALSACTIVISM. We’ll have Salsa en Vinilos spinning all the salsa classics to get us dancing, with Fabio Puentes and Su Tremendo Lío rounding out the party with timba, salsa, and reggaeton. Featuring special guest speakers Jeannette García and Yhamir Chabur.
