Strong movements are built by strong organizations. Through our Anchor Partner Accompaniment Program (APAP), The Action Lab provides long-term support to community organizations building power in working-class communities across New York City.
The program combines onsite coaching, organizational retreats, and recurring trainings in political education, leadership development, and organizing strategy. Working alongside our Anchor Partners—including CAAAV, DRUM, Flatbush Tenant Coalition, Make the Road New York, and New York Communities for Change—we help strengthen organizational culture, leadership, and long-term capacity.
Many trainings are also open to the broader organizing community, with topics including Embodied 1:1s for Organizers, Racial Capitalism, Facing Contradictions, and Feminist Organizing.
Whether supporting leadership teams through strategic challenges or creating spaces for organizers to learn together, APAP reflects The Action Lab's commitment to building the relationships, skills, and infrastructure that movements need to thrive.
