Our Convening on Law & Power Building brought together a dynamic group of academics, lawyers, and organizers deeply invested in progressive social change. Together, we delved into critical discussions on how legal expertise can be leveraged to empower the poor and oppressed, and best practices for integrating law into transformative organizing. We explored the role of lawyers in supporting counter-hegemonic and anti-systemic movements, and how legal and organizing strategies can be evolved to address contemporary political challenges. The event was a vibrant space for sharing ideas, sparking reflection, and fostering a forward-thinking approach among those committed to using law to build a more equitable and democratic society.
