Born and raised in the Bronx, Kemba is a blossoming product of the once burning borough. As a founding member of the Rebel Diaz Arts Collective, a young Kemba learned the world through building community and political education, all while becoming a fan favorite in the New York underground scene. From releasing the acclaimed ode to his late mother “Gilda” with Republic Records, a breakout performance on xxxtentacion’s “Daemons,” to an appearance in the award winning film “40-Year-Old Version,” one can easily say that he’s been on quite the journey ever since Kendrick Lamar brought him on stage to tell the world to “remember that name.”
