Johnny Rivera is a Puerto Rican-born actor, playwright, and educator based in Bushwick, Brooklyn. His television credits include Law & Order SVU, POWER, Wu-Tang: An American Saga, and FBI. He is the writer of Brodel Sangre, a bilingual, music-driven play exploring masculinity, grief, and legacy in the Puerto Rican diaspora. As an arts educator, Johnny leads residencies in NYC public schools and is the lead facilitator of Build Up Boys, a social-emotional learning program for young boys of color. His work lives at the intersection of art, healing, and cultural truth, with a focus on uplifting underrepresented voices and stories.
