Christina M. Ramos is the Director of Community Initiatives at The Action Lab. She is a native of Brooklyn, New York. She’s an alumni of the State University of New York at Albany, where she focused on English Literature and Education. She completed her graduate studies at the City University of New York Graduate Center, focusing on Urban Education and Policy. She was formerly the Director of Membership Services at the Hispanic Federation (HF), the nation’s premier Latino nonprofit membership organization, where she expanded the organization’s footprint and strategic partnerships. She also led HF’s Entre Familia capacity building workshop series, tripling their offering in the time of her tenure, tackling areas such as financial management, board development and outcome evaluation. Christina was a central part of the organization’s multimillion-dollar granting processes, supporting the rollout of the Communities of Color Nonprofit Stabilization Fund (CCNSF), advancing national funding throughout the COVID-19 health crisis, and the disaster relief efforts in Puerto Rico post hurricane Maria. Christina is also a writer and an artist working to publish her first children’s series; she is married and the proud momma of two amazing kids.
