About this event

How has mainstream discourse shaped our understanding of boundaries? Why do so many of us rely on the concept of setting boundaries to structure our lives and relationships? What do we lose (and gain) by accepting pop psychology at face value? And how can we reimagine and build boundaries in ways that honor our individuality, relationships, and organizing?

Join us for a conversation featuring writer and artist Lily Scherlis, where we will discuss boundaries and engage in practices to begin shifting how we embody them.

And if you would like to engage in additional learning before the event, check out Lily's article on boundaries in Parapraxis, as well as her interview on the Ordinary Unhappiness podcast.

Lily Scherlis is a writer and artist. Her work has appeared in Parapraxis, Harper's, The Guardian, The Baffler, and The Drift, as well as at the Renaissance Society and the Gray Center. She is a PhD candidate at the University of Chicago.
