Daniel Altschuler

Daniel Altschuler (he/him) is Make the Road NY’s Director of Politics and Strategic Communications, overseeing the organization’s year-round work to engage community members in the political process and to elevate our members’ stories and experiences in the public arena. He previously served as the organization’s Director of Civic Engagement and Research. He holds a doctorate in Politics and a masters degree in Development Studies from the University of Oxford, where he studied as a Rhodes Scholar. He is the author of dozens of journalistic and academic publications and the co-author of a book with Javier Corrales, The Promise of Participation: Experiments in Participatory Governance in Honduras and Guatemala (Palgrave MacMillan, 2013).
